Here goes,
I bought my '90 TT locally from a good friend. He had a bad water leak that he could not afford to fix so I bought the car from him and did the labor myself. It turned out to be a leaky freeze plug under the lower intake manifold. A bitch to get to and the part was only $0.37! I quickly found out how hard the Z is to work on but it didn't scare me away. I had wanted a 300ZX since I was 12 years old and bought mine in April of '03 when I was 21.
There was no 'test' drive but I had driven the car on a few occasions prior to buying it. The first drive after the repair, when I was the owner was fantastic. I was so happy to finally own a Z. I can't see myself ever parting with the car, it is like part of the family now. ;)
